Open Access Policy

Nexus Universal Journal (NUJ) is an open-access scholarly journal. Articles published under this policy are made freely and immediately available upon publication, without subscription, registration, access charges, or embargo.

Readers may access, download, share, distribute, and reuse articles in accordance with the Creative Commons licence applicable to each article.

Copyright

Copyright in articles published under this policy remains with the author(s).

Authors retain copyright and grant Nexus Universal Journal the right of first publication together with non-exclusive rights necessary to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and display the article.

Creative Commons Licence

Articles accepted under this policy are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under CC BY 4.0, users may copy, redistribute, adapt, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that:

• appropriate credit is given to the original author(s);
• the original publication in Nexus Universal Journal is acknowledged;
• a link to the licence is provided; and
• any changes made are indicated.

Author Rights

Authors retain copyright in their work.

By submitting a manuscript under the current submission terms, the corresponding author confirms that all authors have approved the submission and agree that, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, the article will be published under CC BY 4.0.

Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for ensuring that figures, photographs, tables, datasets, illustrations, excerpts, and other third-party material included in their manuscript can legally be published.

Where third-party material is not covered by the article's CC BY 4.0 licence, the applicable copyright or licensing information must be clearly indicated.

Authors must obtain permission from the copyright holder where required.

Attribution

When reusing an article or material covered by CC BY 4.0, users should provide appropriate attribution to:

• the original author(s);
• the article title;
• Nexus Universal Journal;
• the DOI or permanent article URL, where available;
• the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence.

Existing Articles

This policy applies to manuscripts submitted on or after 2 September 2026.

Nexus Universal Journal adopted its current open-access licensing policy on 2 September 2026.

Articles published under this policy are licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Articles published before adoption of this policy retain the copyright and reuse terms applicable at the time of their publication unless they are subsequently relicensed with permission from the appropriate author or copyright holder.

The CC BY 4.0 licence applies only where the individual article page or published article explicitly identifies CC BY 4.0 as the applicable licence.
