Overview
Nexus Universal Journal follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening, followed by evaluation by at least two independent expert reviewers with subject matter expertise relevant to the manuscript's content.
Review Timeline
- Initial Editorial Review: 3-5 business days
- Reviewer Assignment: 1-2 weeks
- Peer Review Process: 4-8 weeks
- Revision Period: Author response expected within 4 weeks
- Final Decision: Within 2 weeks of revised submission
Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:
- Originality and novelty of research
- Scientific rigor and methodology
- Clarity of presentation and writing quality
- Relevance to journal scope
- Contribution to the field
- Compliance with ethical standards
Decision Categories
- Accept: Manuscript meets all criteria and is accepted for publication
- Minor Revisions: Manuscript is acceptable with minor modifications
- Major Revisions: Significant revisions required before further consideration
- Reject with Resubmission: Reject but encourage resubmission after major revisions
- Reject: Does not meet journal standards
Reviewer Confidentiality
All reviewers remain anonymous to the authors. Reviewer identities are confidential and not disclosed unless a reviewer chooses to sign their review. This double-blind process ensures unbiased evaluation of manuscripts.
Appeal Process
Authors who disagree with editorial decisions may submit a formal appeal with additional evidence or clarifications. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and a senior editorial team member. Decisions are made within 2 weeks of appeal submission.
